The official CISSP digital textbook is delivered through VitalSource Bookshelf, the eBook platform used by ISC2 for distributing all authorized CISSP course materials. Each learner receives a unique, personal access code that unlocks the Digital CISSP Student Kit. This section explains how to activate the textbook, download it for offline use, and understand the usage conditions associated with your license.

1. Creating or Accessing Your VitalSource Account

To begin, learners must create or sign in to a VitalSource account:

2. Redeeming Your CISSP Digital Student Kit Code

Each student receives a private activation code, provided individually via email as part of the course onboarding process.

To redeem the code:

1. Log in to your VitalSource account.
2. Open the Bookshelf interface (web or installed application).
3. Select “Redeem Codes”.
4. Enter your unique Digital CISSP Student Kit code.
5. Confirm that the CISSP textbook appears in your digital library.

3. Accessing the Textbook Online and Offline

Offline Access

4. Usage Notes and License Conditions

Learners must be aware of the following official ISC2/VitalSource conditions:

• Device Limits:
  Your license permits activation on up to 2 mobile devices and 2 desktop devices.
• Printing Restrictions:
  The eBook may be printed in 30-page increments, with watermarks.
• Access Duration:
  Access to the publication is available for one year (365 days) from the date of voucher redemption.
• Authentication Requirement:
  The eBook must be authenticated within one year of receiving your code. ISC2 does not provide replacement access if the activation window expires.
