Who they are
BDO Ziv Haft (Hebrew: BDO זיו האפט) is the Israeli member firm of BDO Global, one of the largest professional-services networks in the world. Globally, BDO is consistently ranked among the five largest accounting and advisory networks, with member firms in more than 160 countries and well over one hundred thousand professionals. In Israel, the firm traces its lineage to Ziv Haft — a long-established Israeli accounting practice that joined BDO and became its national member firm. Today BDO Ziv Haft operates from its headquarters in Tel Aviv and serves a broad portfolio of Israeli enterprises, multinationals operating in Israel, government bodies, and high-growth technology companies, with practice areas spanning audit and assurance, tax, financial advisory, risk consulting, and cybersecurity advisory.
For students of the Cyber Security Responder & Practitioner (CSRP) program, BDO Ziv Haft is the industry partner that grounds the curriculum in the reality of how Israeli organizations actually buy, build, and operate cybersecurity. The firm’s cybersecurity practice consults to banks, insurers, public-sector clients, healthcare providers, and technology companies — the same kinds of organizations CSRP graduates will work for or alongside.
Role in CSRP
BDO Ziv Haft’s involvement in CSRP is substantive, not symbolic. The partnership shapes the program in three distinct ways:
- Curriculum review and case-study contribution. BDO’s cybersecurity practitioners review the technical content of the course for industry relevance and contribute sanitised case studies — drawn from real engagements — that appear inside lessons as worked examples. When you read a scenario about “Meridian Corp” misconfiguring a payroll share or a SOC triaging an alert, the underlying patterns reflect things BDO’s consultants actually see in the field.
- Industry credibility. The CSRP certificate carries the BDO Ziv Haft co-branding. For an Israeli employer evaluating a junior cybersecurity candidate, that co-branding signals that the curriculum has been vetted by a recognised professional-services firm — not only by a training provider.
- Hiring pipeline and exposure to employers. BDO Ziv Haft and its client network are a primary destination for CSRP graduates who perform well. Although no specific job offer is guaranteed, the firm participates in graduation events and helps surface strong candidates to its own teams and to client organizations actively recruiting junior cybersecurity practitioners.
You will not typically receive day-to-day instruction from BDO consultants — your live training is delivered by Cyber School’s instructors (see the Cyber School partner page). BDO’s role is to make sure that what you are taught, and the credential you earn, are taken seriously by the Israeli cybersecurity job market.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Does BDO Ziv Haft teach the CSRP lessons? A: No. Live instruction is delivered by Cyber School’s instructors. BDO’s role is curriculum review, contribution of real-world case material, co-branding of the certificate, and access to its hiring network.
Q: Will I get a job at BDO Ziv Haft if I complete CSRP? A: Not automatically. CSRP graduates who perform well — strong lab work, a clean Capstone, and the ISC2 CC certification — are surfaced to BDO’s recruitment teams and to relevant client organizations, but every hire is a normal interview process. The course gives you a credible foundation; the interview is still on you.
Q: What kind of cybersecurity work does BDO Ziv Haft actually do? A: Typical engagements include cybersecurity risk assessments, regulatory readiness (for example for the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or sector regulators), security architecture review, third-party risk and vendor assessments, audit support, and incident-response retainers. CSRP gives you the practitioner foundation that maps to the junior end of this kind of work.
Q: Is BDO Ziv Haft the same as BDO USA or BDO UK? A: They are independent member firms of the same global BDO network. Each member firm is locally owned, locally regulated, and serves clients in its own country, while sharing methodologies and branding across the network.
Q: Will my certificate carry the BDO logo? A: Yes. The CSRP certificate is co-branded by Cyber School and BDO Ziv Haft, and it identifies the program as ISC2 CC-aligned. The separate ISC2 CC certification, if you sit and pass the exam, is issued directly by ISC2.
Q: Does BDO Ziv Haft see my grades or lab work? A: Not by default. The LMS belongs to Cyber School (see that partner page). BDO is given visibility into aggregated outcomes and, with your permission, can be introduced to your record as part of a hiring conversation.
Next steps for students
- Read the firm’s cybersecurity practice page on https://www.bdo.co.il to understand the kinds of services and clients it works with — this is the world your future colleagues operate in.
- Follow BDO Ziv Haft on LinkedIn to see the kinds of events, hiring announcements, and thought-leadership content the practice publishes.
- Treat the case studies inside CSRP lessons as a window into how real consultants think about a problem. When a worked example asks you to triage an incident or evaluate a control, the underlying pattern is the same one a BDO consultant would use in an engagement.
- If you complete CSRP and want to be considered for opportunities at BDO Ziv Haft or its clients, let your Cyber School instructor know — that introduction is part of the partnership.
